Skiing holiday in South Tyrol: Kronplatz/Plan der Corones - Gitschberg/Jochtal - Dolomites
The South Tyrolean mountains offer ski delights without limits! In Kiens, you have the added bonus that the most beautiful skiing regions are only a few minutes away:
- The shuttle bus is free of charge and brings you to the Kronplatz/Plan der Corones, South Tyrol’s number one ski mountain with more than 114 kilometres of pistes, a snowboard park, toboggan runs and unique mountain huts. The Kronplatz/Plan der Corones also offers a great connection to the Alta Badia and the Sella Ronda... giving you another 500 kilometres of pistes. From Christmas to the end of March, a ski guide from the tourist board offers special tours once a week.
- Skiing region of Gitschberg - Jochtal: a family-friendly, sunny ski region at the entrance of the Puster Valley - only 20 minutes from our hotel. Enjoy 44 km of ski pistes of all grades of difficulties, a ski kindergarten, as well as a look-out platform with panoramic views of more than 500 mountain summits.
- From the winter season 2011/12, you can take advantage of the train link into the Upper Puster Valley and the ski regions of Helm and Haunold - Elmo/Branci. There are lots of pistes, no stress and hectic, modern lift facilities and - needless to say - fantastic snow conditions.
- An absolute highlight can be found in the Dolomite mountains! We recommend a trip into Val Gardena or to Cortina d‘Ampezzo.
If you prefer to visit another region every day, you can benefit from the
Dolomiti Superski Pass: This gives you admission to 12 ski regions in the Dolomites and to more than 1,200 km of pistes.
